Have you heard the news?
Seriously Happy Homes is going on sabbatical for two years starting August 31, 2023!
Yep, after 15 years in the biz, I’m shutting things down and moving to Paris with my hubby! He’s pursuing his dream of becoming a chef at Le Cordon Bleu, while I launch v2.0 of my Seriously Happy adventures. Wondering what that’s gonna look like?
Big picture, I’m not giving up on my mission to help as many folks as I can get happy at home.
I’m still obsessed with creating happy homes – that hasn’t changed! But since I’ll no longer be in Seattle, it’s time to change how I help folks get happy at home.
There are two ways I’ll continue my work from Paris:
#1 Teaching interior designers how to become the Go-To designer for their clients and the only one their contractors refer.
I’ve been quietly coaching my colleagues for years, but now I’m getting loud about it! 😀 By sharing the methods we developed over the last 15 years with my fellow interior designers, I can help them become the go-to designer in their area and help their clients get happy at home!
If you’re an interior designer who’d love to learn the skills and processes we’ve used for 15 years at Seriously Happy Homes to quickly figure out what our clients want, present design ideas in a way that reduces client overwhelm and *thrills* contractors, and helps our clients make quick, confident decisions while navigating the million and one choices that come with home design, my business coaching is for you!
Make sure you’re on my in-the-know list for interior designers and design firms. You can do that by clicking here! 🤓
#2 Helping people get happy at home via Zoom
While I’m closing down my in-person and full-design services, I’ll be keeping a door cracked open for directly helping homeowners and renters via my virtual “Design Helpline” service. In case you don’t know, Design Helplines are meant for people trying to figure out what they should know before starting a remodeling or redecorating project, or for someone mid-way through a project and feeling stuck.
✍️ The Seriously Happy Homes newsletter will feature helpful information meant to help you make great decisions for your home. If that sounds like something you want in your inbox, make sure you’re on my regular in-the-know list for home owners and renters. 👉 You can make sure YOU are on the list by clicking here! 😊
And what about PARIS?
Does drinking wine and tasting Cordon Bleu-level food while having a rich cultural convo about living in Paris appeal to you? ME TOO! Would it be even better in costume? #Letsbefriends! Are we going to host events like that? I have no idea. 😂
I wish I had a crystal ball that would reveal where this adventure will lead, but I don’t! That’s the thing about adventures, they are filled with twist and turns, highs and lows. But if you’d like to follow along (and maybe even join us) in our adventures then you’ll want to make sure you’re on my in-the-know list for Friends and Francophiles. You can do that by clicking here.
No matter what, thank you for being part of my journey these last 15 years. Who knew that making over my post-divorce home and feeling determined to help other people get happy at home would turn into a thriving business? I’m so grateful to all the folks who’ve been part of this Seriously Happy journey! 💕
Let the countdown to Paris begin!
Hi! I’m Rebecca!
When I closed my design biz to move to Paris I discovered how hard it was for me to refer my clients to other designers because I couldn't tell what the designer did, who they did it for, or what they delivered!
Now I'm on a mission to help designers nail their niche and set clear client expectations.
It's all about being able to clearly communicate what you do, who you do it for, what they should expect, and what they'll get, and it's the #1 key to getting hired by clients you love to work on projects you're proud of!
